The Kansas Institute of Diesel Technology has been experiencing facility and enrollment growth in the last few years and is looking to add faculty to its team. As a member of the College faculty, an instructor is expected to participate in program, division, and college-wide activities.  A successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the mission of a rural technical college and have industry experience in supervising in a diverse environment. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.

Specific courses taught will be determined by the qualified candidate’s strengths and areas of expertise; however, focus will be on electrical, electronics, fuel systems, preventative maintenance, hydraulics, air conditioning, and small engines portions of the curriculum. 

Bachelor degree preferred; however, equivalent experience could be evaluated. Prior instructional experience is a plus.  Relevant industry experience required. 

Compensation includes: 12-month salary, 10-month teaching assignment, and benefits package including health insurance, KPERS retirement plan, sick leave, and more.
