Early College at Fort Hays Tech|365³Ô¹Ï²¿Âä
If you’re a high school student who’s planning to attend college, the best way to save time and money is to earn college credit for free or at a reduced cost through Fort Hays Tech | 365³Ô¹Ï²¿Âä's Early College program. We offer a variety of dual credit courses that high school students can take on Fort Hays Tech | 365³Ô¹Ï²¿Âä’s campus, online, or at participating high schools. Plus, all of our General Education courses are fully transferable to any college in Kansas! Select the pathway below that best fits your goals to learn more about our dual credit course offerings.
Excel in CTE Program
Students who live in the State of Kansas are eligible for FREE TUITION through the Excel in CTE program. (This excludes books, tools, materials, & fees, or any classes that are non-tiered (not paid for by the state of Kansas)).
Homeschool
We are homeschool-friendly and proudly welcome both homeschool and private school students from across Kansas and beyond. Our early college programs offer flexible, supportive pathways to help students start college-level coursework while still in high school. Kansas residents may qualify for free tuition in select career and technical education (CTE) courses through the Excel in CTE initiative. Out-of-state students are also welcome to enroll and simply pay standard tuition rates.
I’m a freshman or sophomore.
You can take general education and/or career and technical education (CTE) courses if you meet one or more of the following criteria:
- You’re in a gifted/honors program
- You receive approval from your principal
- You receive approval from your counselor

$50 per credit hour - High School students in the state of Kansas
$155 per credit hour - Out of State High School Students

Depending on the program, you may have the opportunity to graduate high school with a technical certificate and associate degree!
